Welcome to Darb Dunham Kids!
My grandmother shared her love of sewing with me and from this I knew an education and career in fashion was my future. Fabric became my medium. I made silk dresses for Anne Klein, designed jackets for the US Forest Service, climbing suits for a K2 climbing team and plenty more.
Then opportunity came knocking (in the form of my kids!) to design functional, warm, children’s outerwear. I started my first company, Powder Pups, out of my home in Holladay, Utah and sold them at The Little Cottonwood Tailor Shop at Snowbird, Utah.
FAST FORWARD TO 2018
While watching Ellen Degeneres, I heard about The Ellen Degeneres Wildlife Fund to build a home to support global efforts for critically endangered species, including gorillas in Rwanda, Africa. Being a huge animal lover myself, I was inspired to do my part to help bring to light the reasons so many animals are becoming endangered.
My business story is captured in my book, Piper’s Promise, Let’s Save the Animals, about a little Corgi (not endangered) who travels the world to bring attention to the plight of eight brave endangered animal friends whose numbers are in decline.
10% of the proceeds from all Darb Dunham Kids sales will go to The Ellen Degeneres Wildlife Fund.
